As an employee and part of the design team of Waacs I worked on the YouBeGreen energy management platform. In this project I was responsible for engineering the hardware devices and making it ready for mass production.

YouBeGreen is a system that consists of two devices: a Reader and a so called SuperStick. By simply telling you how much energy you use it is making you more aware on your consumption and this will lead to a more conscious and ‘energy-saving’ behaviour.

Waacs was responsible for user-experience design, user-interface (UI) design and hardware design. Together with Creative Cube partner MetroDC the software UI was prototyped. The graphic brand identity of YouBeGreen was done by Bouwmeester van Leeuwen
